A BMI number can help frame a weight-management assessment, but it does not decide whether MEDVi will prescribe a particular treatment. Program enrollment, clinical eligibility, and insurance coverage are separate decisions. A completed quiz or payment is not a substitute for medical review.

This page sets out the provider-specific evidence and explains what information to prepare. Where a company does not publish a complete threshold, we distinguish that gap from general adult weight-management guidance instead of turning a general rule into a promise of acceptance.

THE SHORT ANSWER

We did not verify a single MEDVi-specific BMI cutoff on the current main page or policies reviewed. MEDVi says an independent clinician determines prescription eligibility after the assessment. A payment or completed quiz does not establish medical approval.

What to know first

What BMI and health criteria apply to MEDVi?

We did not verify a single MEDVi-specific BMI cutoff on the current main page or policies reviewed. MEDVi says an independent clinician determines prescription eligibility after the assessment. A payment or completed quiz does not establish medical approval.

NIDDK describes common adult weight-management criteria of BMI 30 or above, or 27 or above with a weight-related health problem. Those are general medical context, not a verified MEDVi acceptance rule or approval of a compounded product.

What else belongs in an eligibility assessment?

Give the clinician an accurate medical history, current medication list, relevant conditions, and previous weight-management treatment. Include recent changes and any treatment interruption. The assessment concerns whether the particular medication is appropriate, not simply whether a number reaches an advertised cutoff.

If you are transferring ongoing care, say so explicitly and provide the previous prescription and pharmacy label. A person continuing treatment may have different questions from someone beginning for the first time. Do not alter reported measurements or omit history to fit a screening form; ask the clinician to explain how your circumstances are evaluated.

What happens at a cutoff or after a refusal?

Ask the provider to clarify the wording in its own policy, especially if you are exactly at a published boundary or the page discusses several types of medication. Adult weight-management criteria should not be applied automatically to pediatric care, every oral treatment, or every branded indication. A calculator cannot resolve those distinctions.

If treatment is declined, ask for the stated reason, any missing documentation, and the process for questions or reconsideration. Separately request the refund terms that apply to medical ineligibility. A financial remedy does not guarantee a later prescription, and clinical eligibility does not guarantee insurer payment. Keep the clinical explanation and billing confirmation as distinct records.

Keep the MEDVi policy and portal record together

MEDVi describes independent clinical review and an all-in-one portal, but that does not establish one universal deadline or outcome for every program. Keep the written policy relevant to your question together with the status shown in your own account. If a support response is more general than a specific refund or privacy provision, ask the team to identify the provision it is applying. Administrative support and medical decisions may involve different people. A completed payment, portal message, or care form should not be used alone as proof that all later clinical and pharmacy steps are complete.

What happens to my payment if MEDVi does not approve a prescription?

MEDVi’s current cancellation and refund policy says patients disqualified by its healthcare provider for a medical reason receive a full refund. This specific condition is clearer than a general assumption that every consultation or cancellation is refundable.

Save the denial notice and ask for written confirmation of the amount and processing date. The general terms separately discuss nonrefundable medical-consult fees, so ask MEDVi to identify the medical-disqualification provision when resolving any conflicting response.

How do MEDVi refills work, and when must a patient check in?

MEDVi directs patients to an all-in-one patient portal for provider check-ins and care management. Its materials refer to ongoing health updates, but we could not verify a universal refill-request deadline or a guaranteed shipping date for every program.

Use the signed-in portal to identify outstanding forms and ask whether the next prescription has been approved and sent to the pharmacy. Request the check-in date, billing date, and expected dispatch separately; contact the care team if an interruption is approaching.
